Journey
Willem Roux is a South African composer and keyboardist who has carved out a unique space in the local alternative landscape through his minimalist, neoclassical compositions.
Eschewing the traditional celebrity spotlight, Roux keeps his personal background entirely private, allowing his serene instrumental arrangements to communicate directly with his audience.
Distributed under Select Music, a lifestyle division of Sony Music Entertainment Africa, his work is organized into highly functional, thematic concepts.
In 2020, he released a series of ambient piano soundscapes across specialized projects: "Ontspan," which features relaxing pieces like "Laatnag Huistoe"; "Fokus," tailored for deep mental concentration; and "Lekker Slaap Kinders," a collection of soothing instrumental lullabies like "Droomwoud." His music remains a definitive soundtrack for contemporary relaxation and mindfulness.
